Stefan Al
Biographie: Stefan is an accomplished urban designer, architect, and scholar, dedicated to improving urban environments through well-designed density, transit-oriented development, and climate resilience strategies. With over two decades of experience, his portfolio encompasses large-scale projects globally, including mixed-use developments and the world’s tallest tower. Stefan has also contributed his expertise on sustainable development to the Hong Kong government and the United Nations High-Level Political Forum. He is the author of several acclaimed books, and his work has received accolades from publications such as the New York Times, as well as a National Urban Design Award. Committed to educating the next generation of urban design professionals, Stefan currently serves as a faculty member at Hunter College in New York, with past positions at Virginia Tech, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania. As a licensed architect in New York, he heads Stefan Al Architects, with a focus on sustainable design.
