Joshua Braun

Biographie: Josh Braun has been entrenched in the Chicago real estate market for most of his life, carrying on a legacy three generations old. His grandfather was a Chicago real estate attorney who started a family business that has spanned more than 70 years. Josh began his career as an analyst for LaSalle Partners in Chicago. After learning the ropes, he moved into the family business accruing nearly 25 years of experience in real estate development and property management. He managed a $25M+ portfolio of real estate in the Chicago metropolitan area. In 2007, Josh formed Braun Renovation Management (BRM), a design-build firm specializing in renovation and remodeling in the Chicagoland area. For more than a decade, Josh worked on projects big and small in both residential and light commercial. This endeavor afforded him the opportunity to hone his construction and General Contracting skills. In 2016 Josh joined forces with architect Paul Tebben to form Kinexx Modular Construction. Kinexx was built on the premise that standard Chicago city lots are rectangular which makes them ideal for modular construction. Together Josh and Paul explored how to solve for the lack of affordable housing in Chicago using innovative construction methods. From this idea Kinexx blossomed into the first and only modular construction company in Chicago, to design, build and install multiple homes. Kinexx is proud to be an integral part of solving the affordable housing needs in Chicago and beyond.
