Amy Erixon
Biographie: Amy Erixon is an industry expert in large scale development and real estate investment management. She founded and leads Avison Young’s Global Investment Management practice, which is active across all major and select specialty property types in North America and Europe. Prior to joining Avison Young, she was a founder and CEO of IGRI, a full-service development and investment firm that built the first LEED-certified projects across Canada in the early 2000s in partnership with CalPERS and the Government of Canada's Public Pension Fund (PSP) With more than 35 years of industry experience, she has acquired, developed and repositioned portfolios valued in excess of $9 billion, and completed large-scale rezoning and development projects in numerous North American and Mexican cities. Amy Erixon has been a member of the ULI Responsible Property Investment Council since 2012, and the European Placemaking Council since 2025. Additionally she serves as an educational counsellor for MIT and sat for 12 years on the Ontario Board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada. She is currently chair of the AFIRE ESG Committee and is a founding member of the Executive, Sustainability and Corporate Governance Committees of the Real Property Association of Canada With a BS and MCP from MIT in city planning and real estate development, she is an active speaker, blogger and publisher of topical reports and white papers.
