William Fleissig
Biographie: Will has been a trailblazer in both the private and public sectors, revitalizing large-scaled districts in diverse North American cities including Boston, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Toronto. He is an industry leader in low carbon communities, initiating projects that embed emerging technologies with vertical development and infrastructure. He is currently the founder and Managing Principal for Collaborative Equities, based in Toronto and San Francisco. Through CoEq, he is acting as Chief Development Officer for Woodbine Entertainment Group to develop their 680 acre site that incorporates Canada’s largest race track with a new transit hub, entertainment and mixed-use neighborhood districts supporting 27,000 homes. CoEq is also advising a landowner in downtown San Diego on an emerging 1.3 mile transit corridor that is transforming from an industrial district into a 3,000 unit mixed-use community in Logan Heights. Previously, Will was the Managing Director for Treasure Island Development Group (TIDG), a new start-up delivering the brand strategy, permit approvals, building designs, parks, infrastructure and community facilities for the 400 acre new neighborhood in San Francisco. This is the first LEED Platinum Neighborhood in North America, while maintaining 27% of the homes for lower income families. Beginning in January 2016, Will was selected as the second President and CEO of Waterfront Toronto, established by national, provincial and municipal governments to revitalize 2,000 acres located immediately adjacent to downtown Toronto. During Will’s tenure, he secured CDN $1.25 billion to initiate the construction for the Don River Naturalization and Infrastructure Project that is now transforming the 880 acre Port Lands into a carbon neutral urban community serving 60,000+ residents and workers. Will also led the RFP process and negotiations with Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet company, as its Innovation and Funding Partner for Quayside,
