Luka Matutinovic
Biographie: Luka Matutinovic is a Professional Engineer, Certified Passive House Consultant and Co-Founder and Principal of Purpose, a firm specialising in accelerating real estate to planet-positive performance by delivering healthy, low-carbon, resilient, financially-successful buildings. Luka has more than15 years of experience in improving the performance of the built environment. He combines detailed knowledge of engineering, operations, and the overall project delivery process to make advanced technical solutions possible. He believes that collaboration, capacity building and generosity are critical to solving society’s wicked problems. To this end, he focuses on integrating performance analytics into the design process to improve how people work together. The result is elevated value-creation at the project, team, and organizational levels. Luka is past Vice-President of the Boston and Canadian Chapters of the International Building Performance Simulation Association. He assisted with the development of ASHRAE Standard 209 for the Energy-Simulation Aided Design for Buildings and advised on development of Versions 2 and 3 of the CaGBC Zero Carbon Building Standard. Luka has provided strategic leadership, technical oversight, project management and performance analysis on more than 150 new and existing building projects in nearly all sectors including more than 10 new developments pursuing Zero Carbon.
