Biographie:
A trained architect and water resource manager, Hyon K. Rah has spent the last 20 years advancing climate-resilient solutions in real estate, water management, renewable energy, and destination development for public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Living and working in seven countries, communicating in five languages, has prepared her to navigate uncertainties that come with a career in climate and sustainability, building and managing new strategies, practices, teams, and partnerships to get everyone rowing the same direction. Currently, as Head of Sustainability, Real Estate Americas at DWS Group, she oversees sustainability for a $35 billion portfolio, looking to shift the trend of developing and mobilizing resources for past climate to current and future risks and opportunities in a systemic manner. Hyon studied architecture and Japanese at the University of Washington and Osaka University. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and received her M.Sc. in water management & hydroinformatics from the European Commission’s EuroAquae Programme.
