John Sarokhan

Biographie: John Sarokhan is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets at PGIM Real Estate. In this role, John leads the firm’s investment activity nationally across alternative property sectors, programmatic joint ventures, and structured transactions. Prior to his current role, John did a two-year rotation as the firm’s Global Investment Risk Director, working with investment teams across the firm’s global regions evaluating investment activity and processes and reviewing portfolio strategies. During that period, he also led the firm’s Global Tech Strategy Group creating and driving technology and innovation strategy related to investments, asset operations, and business operations. Previously, John was head of retail asset management for PGIM Real Estate’s flagship core equity real estate fund where he oversaw strategy, new asset selection, and asset management for the fund’s nearly $4.5 billion retail and mixed-use portfolio. Over the course of his tenure in Transactions, John has held various national, regional, and specialist roles and has been involved in acquisitions across all property types and deal structures totaling over $20 billion in gross value. Earlier in his career, John worked on the portfolio and asset management teams of PGIM Real Estate’s multi-billion dollar, open-end, core-plus fund. John received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a master of business administration with honors from the NYU Stern School of Business. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center.
