ULI Colorado Denver Climate Challenge TAP
Report Summary: In partnership with the City and County of Denver and the Natural Resources Defense Council—and with funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies’ American Cities Climate Challenge through the ULI Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance—ULI Colorado hosted a TAP to provide analysis and recommendations for the city’s 2020 American Cities Climate Challenge goal of cutting single-occupancy vehicle (SOV) driving rates in half, which will help reduce regional greenhouse gas emissions. The plan is to accomplish this with changes to Denver’s parking and curbside management policies to help incentivize alternatives to SOV commuting. To this end, Denver asked for ULI member analysis and recommendations on parking pricing and policies, methods, and criteria for managing curb access, and specific technologies and models to allow access.
