Kumar Kintala

Biography: Kumar Kintala is the Innovation Hub Director at Discovery Partners Institute in Chicago. Kumar manages the development of DPI's new anchor facility and the creation of a new innovation district at The 78, a new mixed-use neighborhood development in downtown Chicago. DPI does three things: tech talent development, applied R&D, and business building. Kumar previously managed the development team at Bedrock in Detroit. He led multiple real estate development projects and public-private partnership initiatives for projects in Detroit's downtown and riverfront areas. Prior to Bedrock, he was a Principal at HR&A Advisors in New York City where he advised governments, real estate developers, special-purpose entities, and institutions on the predevelopment of mixed-use projects and economic development policy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master in City Planning and a Master of Science in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
