Robert Ricci

Biography: Mr. Ricci joined Lone Star in January 2009 and is a Senior Managing Director responsible for originating commercial real estate investments in North America. He has headed the region since 2014. During his tenure, Mr. Ricci has been responsible for originating over $10.2 billion of investments spanning performing and sub-performing debt portfolios, and direct equity investments across multifamily, lodging, retail, office, industrial, manufactured housing, and senior housing. During his thirty+ year career in commercial real estate, he has developed a strong background in principal investing, capital markets and fixed income, workouts, and risk management. Prior to joining Lone Star, Mr. Ricci was at Wachovia Securities for nine years, most recently as a Managing Director responsible for Traded Commercial Real Estate (e.g. CMBS Trading, Securitization, Repo, Loan Distribution, and European Real Estate). Prior to joining Wachovia in April 2000, Mr. Ricci spent three years on the buy-side investing in CMBS, mezzanine loans, sub/non-performing loans, and conduit lending. Mr. Ricci spent five years in commercial real estate loan workouts during the downturn of the early 1990s. Mr. Ricci holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bates College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Washington University. Mr. Ricci is also a CFA® Charterholder.
