BRIEF PROJECT EXPERIENCE Gabardine, Austin, Texas - Lead Planner for this new home community in the Shady Hollow area of Austin, preserving over 13 acres of greenbelt. The first phase of homes included 53 residences with a cottage layout. The site plan included shared semi-private courtyards, innovative streets, sidewalks and fire lanes, and private outdoor space for each home. Land planning for the second phase involved detached condo homes. Robert created an innovative layout to preserve wooded areas and planned for an amenity area with a pool next to the greenbelt. This phase, like the first, included landscape architecture for each residence’s private outdoor space. Prosper Master Planned Community, Prosper, Texas - Robert is serving as lead designer to create a beautiful community with amenities previously unseen in the DFW area. This project of 600+ acres located north of Dallas includes a natural landscape that embodies outdoor activities and recreation. The site, which features meadows surrounded by thick rows of trees and a picturesque creek set the tone for a vision of creating a resort experience in a preserve-like environment, complete with water sports, hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, and other leisure activities. The Village, Dallas, Texas - Robert is serving as lead designer for the redeveloped amenity center and Main Street for one of Dallas’ oldest rental communities. The Village Main Street begins with the idea of living a resort lifestyle within the urban fabric of Dallas. Situated at the center of The Village and serving as the social heart for all Village Neighborhoods, the new Main Street will provide a unique blend of amenities, restaurants, retail and social spaces. The neighborhood will be crafted as a unique urban resort within the greater park setting of The Village. The Main Street’s recreation amenities are organized around a large copse of grand live oaks, from which all the programmed uses radiate. Social spaces that are public and on display are provided while the private members club and other intimate gardens provide the guests of Main Street many opportunities to enjoy the resort lifestyle.
