Hank Baker Baker Property Group, Ltd Mill Valley, California Hank Baker has with more than 30 years of experience in real estate development including the acquisition, design, development, marketing and management of over $1 billion in urban real estate projects. In 2008, Hank founded Baker Property Group, Ltd., a land use and real estate consulting company and brokerage focused on mixed-use redevelopment. Recent work includes design and development, feasibility analysis, governmental approvals, value engineering, contract negotiation and marketing and positioning for 1844 Market Street, San Francisco and 195 Tamal Vista, Corte Madera, California. During 2011 he worked extensively with LA Live in Los Angeles California focusing on the marketing and positioning of the Ritz Carleton Residences. Hank also worked on the community visioning and development of Bay Meadows, a 1,100 residential unit, 800,000 square feet of office/retail mixed-use development project in San Mateo California. . Prior to Baker Property Group, Hank was a senior manager with Forest City. Hank opened Forest City's Denver office in June 1998 and was responsible for developing the overall branding? and marketing efforts for the 4,700-acre mixed-use Stapleton Redevelopment project as well as coordinating efforts related to economic development, education, and telecommunications. Located 10 minutes east of Downtown Denver, Stapleton is a community of 12,000 homes and 13 million square feet of office and retail space as well as over two square miles of parks and open space. Additionally, Hank was actively involved in the early visioning, design and marketing for the 12,000 acre Mesa del Sol development in Albuquerque, NM. From 1992-1995 Hank was principle with Baker Property Advisors in Park City. Utah. The firm’s brokerage and development efforts included the purchase, sale, development, and management of Utah residential properties. Mr. Baker owned and renovated the 8,400 SF Ferry-Kearns Mansion, Park City’s largest historical residence later featured in a 1998 issue of Victorian Homes Magazine. From 1986 to 1992, Hank was Vice President in charge of Forest City's San Francisco office and, from 1995 to 1998, was Vice President - Marketing for Irvine Apartment Communities, a division of The Irvine Company, owner of the 90,000-acre master planned Irvine Ranch in Southern California. From 1978 to 1986, Hank was Executive Vice President with the Innisfree Companies of Sausalito California. Baker's responsibilities include land acquisition, financing, design, governmental approvals, construction coordination, marketing and sales for Point Tiburon, Tiburon, CA, The Courtyard on Nob Hill, San Francisco, CA and Cypress Point, Daly City, From 1976 to 1978, in conjunction with the General Partner, Hank also developed and operated two full service restaurants in the San Francisco Financial District and Sausalito Waterfront. Hank is a graduate of Cornell University and a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Cornell Real Estate Council and the University of Colorado Real Estate Council.
