April 2003 ANTHONY CANZONERI Practice Areas Public and Municipal Law; Economic Development; Redevelopment; Transactional Real Estate; Land Use; Business Law; Real Estate Financing; Environmental Law Background and Experience Tony Canzoneri, the Managing Officer of Brown, Winfield & Canzoneri, has 30 years of experience handling sophisticated real estate matters for private and public clients. He has been involved in all aspects of real estate transactions, including the negotiation and documentation of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development agreements, ground leases, space leases, covenants, conditions and restrictions and governing documents for residential subdivisions, mixed-use projects and master plan communities. Mr. Canzoneri's lender experience has included land development and construction loans, loan work outs, foreclosures and REO work. He also has extensive experience in land use, environmental, planning, zoning, redevelopment, economic development, construction, finance and asset management. Mr. Canzoneri is the City Attorney and Redevelopment Agency Counsel for the Cities of Cerritos and Monterey Park, and the City Attorney for the City of Huntington Park, and has acted as special counsel in connection with land use, real estate and redevelopment matters for various local agencies. Mr. Canzoneri's experience in representing both private sector and public agency clients has enabled him to develop expertise in creating and implementing public/private partnerships. Recently, as General Counsel for Gateway to L.A., Inc., Mr. Canzoneri assisted the hotel and office building owners in establishing a property based Business Improvement District and in forging an emerging public/private partnership with the City of Los Angeles and its Department of Airports.
