Lewis Friedland

Biografía: Lew Friedland Lew has been active in the commercial real estate investment and development business for over thirty years. He is a Managing Director of Colony Capital, Inc. and oversees the Colony Industrial Platform. Prior to joining Colony in 2014, he was founder and Managing Partner of Cobalt Capital Partners which aggregated a portfolio of over 30 million square feet of light industrial properties in 16 major U.S. markets. Cobalt was sold to Colony for $1.6 billion in December 2014. Prior to forming Cobalt, he was COO and CIO of American Industrial Properties, a public REIT focused on the flex property sector. Beginning in 1997, AIP acquired over $650 million of flex properties in major tech markets throughout the U.S. The REIT was successfully liquidated in 2001. Earlier in his career, Lew founded Crimson Partners, an opportunistic real estate investment firm and was as a partner at Trammell Crow Company. Lew received a BS from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA degree from Harvard University.
