Rick Goldman

Biografía:
Rick Goldman has been involved in real estate development and construction for more than 30 years. His passion for the built environment and unique experience combine to provide vision that truly drives value. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Rick was a project manager for the Chicago high-rise builder Schal-Bovis, where he worked on the 2.1 million-square-foot Sears Headquarters in Hoffman Estates, IL, and the Helmut Jahn-designed Principal Financial Group Headquarters in Des Moines, IA. In 1993 Rick began his career in retail development at Crate & Barrel, responsible for all aspects of new store development, including site selection, lease negotiation, design, construction, and store openings most notably the flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York, NY. Subsequently he became the Director of Fisher Development’s Chicago Office, where he managed store develop for Gap and Williams-Sonoma including the award winning 30,000-square-foot flagship Pottery Barn store in Chicago, IL. As Vice President at TrizecHahn Development Corporation, Rick was instrumental in creating the $150 MM Fashion Outlet of Las Vegas, the $500 MM luxury shopping destination Desert Passage on “The Strip” in Las Vegas, the re-birth of downtown Pasadena with the $300 MM mixed-use Paseo Colorado; and found balance between retailers and the Academy Awards at the billion-dollar hotel/entertainment complex, Hollywood & Highland. In 2001, Rick became managing partner of Golden Spike Development, the company he founded to focus on innovative urban infill projects. Here, he successfully led the development of residential lofts in the trendy San Diego neighborhood of Hillcrest, mixed-use condos in Milwaukee, WI. Rick then transformed the Nob Hill neighborhood in Albuquerque, NM through paradigm shifting row houses, lofts, the luxury LEED Platinum apartments and a state of the art four story climate controlled self-storage facility. In 2005 he merged Golden Spike with Pacific Construction Services; a Chicago based general contracting firm averaging $30MM in revenue annually to create a well-balanced full service real estate company. In late 2019 Rick sold Pacific and created REthink, a boutique consulting firm that combines his creativity, passion and experience to provide owner’s with valuable representation and strong project management throughout the entire development process.
