Rosalynn Hughey

Biografía:
With a career in local government spanning over 35 years, Rosalynn Hughey currently serves as Deputy City Manager for the City of San José. She provides leadership and coordination for city offices shaping the future of the City and stewarding the Envision San José 2040 General Plan—including land use and planning, housing, transportation, economic development, and cultural affairs. Building on her expertise in urban planning, Rosalynn’s career has centered in city building, civic engagement, and “leading with people.” She has also served the City of San José as Assistant Director and Director of the Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement, and Acting Housing Director. Prior to joining the City of San José in 2014, Rosalynn was Deputy Director for the Washington, D.C. Office of Planning where she led dozens of neighborhood and transit-oriented development plans and large-scale planning/redevelopment projects. Rosalynn is a member of the American Planning Association, National Forum for Black Public Administrators, and Urban Land Institute where she serves on the San Francisco District Council Executive Board and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Rosalynn also serves on the boards of WeHOPE and SPUR San José and is an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow.
