Robert Kent
Biografía: Robert Kent is the Texas State Director for The Trust for Public Land, where he leads a team of colleagues and volunteers working make the health, climate, equity, and community benefits of parks and nature accessible to all. Since joining the organization in 2014, he has led the organization’s work to help pass a $310 million bond package for parks, create a new master plan for trails connecting across southern Dallas, acquire hundreds of acres of land for new parks throughout Texas, and connect community members, stakeholders, and donors to realize a shared vision for parks and public spaces that benefit all. Prior to working for The Trust for Public Land, Robert served as the Policy Director for the North Texas Commission. Robert received his BA from Baylor University, where he studied economics and environmental science, and his MSc. from the University of Glasgow, where he studied international economic development. Born and raised in Dallas, Robert is passionate about using close-to-home nature to build green, resilient cities. Robert and his family live in Dallas near their favorite park, White Rock Lake.
