Biografía: April 20040 Brian J. Levitt Brian Levitt, a Project Developer for Forest City Commercial Group, Inc., has successfully completed his accreditation process under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program (LEED) conducted byt he U.S. Green Building Council. Brian recently completed the development of the East 29th Avenue Town Center at Stapleton, the first of a series of mixed-use and pedestrian friendly neighborhood retail centers to be created by Forest City at Denver's former international airport. The town center includes 81,000 swuare feet of retail space, a 58,000 square foot grocery store, 34,000 square feet of office space, and 144 apartment units overlooking a 2.5-acre town green. The East 29th Avenue Town Center is one of the centerpieces of the new urban neighborhoods at Stapleton that have already received national and international recognition for their commitment to "smart growth" and innovative energy and water conservation practices. Prior to joining Forest City Stapleton, INc. in January 2001, Brian Levitt was the Development Director and Senior Analyst for Blackfox REeal Estate Group, LLC, a commercial development group that operated out of the Denver Technological Center. He is a 1994 graduate of The University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and a 1996 graduate of The University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, with a Master's degree in real Estate and Construction Management. This past year, Brian served as sponsor of the University of Denver Graduate Practicum real estate couarse in which students are given the opportunity to get hands-on knowledge by working closely with a development team on a local commercial project for one full year.
