Chris LeTourneur
Biografía: Chris has over 32 years of experience in Planning, Design, Land Economics and Airport Area Development. As President and CEO, Chris leads MXD Development Strategists (MXDdevelopment.com), an international planning and development consultancy. Chris’ project portfolio spans over 6 continents and 50 countries including the Americas, Europe, Russia, Australia, Asia, India, Africa and the Middle East/MENA Region. Chris has been at the leading edge of defining sustainable and resilient strategies for SMART Airport Development, Economic Development Strategies, Innovation Hubs, Non-Aeronautical Revenues, Airport Cities and Aerotropoli, through his involvement at International and Regional Airports including Dallas-Fort Worth (TX), Denver (CO), Orlando (FL), Phoenix (AZ), Pittsburgh (PA), Charlotte (NC), Atlanta (GA), Memphis (TN), Chattanooga (TN), Birmingham (AL), Brownfield San Diego (CA), Sacramento (CA) and Beverly (MA) in the USA; and, Vancouver (BC), Edmonton (AB), Calgary (AB), Regina (SK), Winnipeg (MB), Hamilton (ON), Yellowknife (NWT) and Halifax (NS) in Canada. Chris has also led Airport Development projects in Australia (Western Sydney, Gold Coast, Townsville, Cairns), Ecuador (Quito), Brazil (Belo Horizonte), China (Hong Kong, Shanghai), Hungary (Budapest), South Africa (Johannesburg-Ekurhuleni), KSA (Jeddah) and Oman (Muscat). Over the past year, Chris has been actively assisting Airports and their regions with economic diversification and resiliency strategies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been at the forefront of planning for Technology, Alternative Mobility, Advanced Air Mobility, Future Green Energy and E-Commerce Logistics development. Chris has published various journal articles on the topics of “Airport Connected Development”, “Airport Cities” and “Innovation”, and chaired Smart Airports and Airport Cities conferences around the world exploring these topics.
