Alfonso Munk
Biografía: Alfonso Munk is a managing director, Americas chief investment officer and head of Latin America at PGIM Real Estate. Based in Miami and New York, he oversees PGIM Real Estate’s Americas transactions activities and real estate debt strategies. Alfonso is also responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy, and oversight of the operations in Latin America. Alfonso is a member of the Americas Executive Council, the Global Management Council, the Global Investment Committee, the U.S. and Latin America Investment Committees and the Global Product Committee. Alfonso joined PGIM Real Estate in 2012 to help lead the Latin America business before taking on the additional role of Americas chief investment officer in 2015. Prior to joining PGIM Real Estate, Alfonso was a managing director at Morgan Stanley Real Estate, where he held various roles in Europe and South America for more than 10 years. Most recently, he was responsible for Morgan Stanley’s real estate investing activities in France and southern Europe, as well as pan-European hospitality investments. Earlier, he also served as regional head for South America, based in Sao Paulo. Alfonso currently serves on the Board of Directors of Terrafina in Mexico (BMV:TERRA13) and has served on the Board of Directors of Paz Corp S.A. (Chile), Grupo Lar (Spain), Icade (France), Eurosic (France), FEL (France), Abyara (Brazil) and Bracor (Brazil). He also served as Chairman of Compagnie La Lucette in France. Alfonso has a bachelor’s degree in business and hospitality administration from Cornell University and master of business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in finance and real estate. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Global Exchange Council. Alfonso is a Spanish citizen and speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese fluently. Alfonso serves on the Executive Committee of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; the Advisory Board at the Center for Real Estate Finance at the Hotel School, Cornell University SC Johnson College of Business; the Advisory Board at the University of Miami School of Business Administration’s Real Estate programs; and the Board of Trustees at Gulliver Schools.
