Andrew Malick

Biografía:
Andrew Malick has over 20 years of experience in the real estate development industry. During his career he has worked in all three legs of the development process; construction, design, and development. Mr. Malick was one of the first to see value in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego where he has designed and developed multiple projects. He is currently developing three separate T.O.D. mixed-use projects in the San Diego region totaling 365 residential units. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and master’s degrees in architecture, urban-design, and real estate development. Mr. Malick works passionately to help local government adapt housing policy to align with the sustainable development principals. His most recent efforts include working on a Stakeholders committee to review and update affordable housing policy in the City of San Diego. He also provided commentary for a 2017 City of San Diego Housing Commission report on addressing the housing affordability crisis and has helped author a State bill that aims to provided more housing on Transit Corridors. Mr. Malick serves on the Management Committee for ULI San Diego – Tijuana District Council and is a chair of the Small Scale Infill Development Product Council. He is a member of the Project Review Committee for Circulate San Diego’s Move Alliance and has taught a course on Sustainable Development Practices at UCSD. He is a founding member of Housing You Matters Coalition where he sits on the Infill Development policy working group and is a supporter of the San Diego Architecture Foundation.
