Biografía:
Mr. Weilbach is a Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets for Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. Within Capital Markets, Mr. Weilbach is responsible for leading Cushman & Wakefield’s national multifamily business. His responsibilities include overseeing the continued growth of the firm’s multifamily platform, directing strategic initiatives, and leading business development and client service efforts. Mr. Weilbach has extensive experience across both the institutional and private spectrums of multifamily real estate. Most recently, he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for Pacific Property Company, one of the leading private multifamily real estate firms in the country. Based in Palo Alto, CA, Mr. Weilbach was responsible for all of the firm’s acquisition and disposition activity. In his 11 year tenure with Pacific, the firm completed over 100 individual apartment acquisitions with a total value of over $2.4 billion, many in joint ventures with leading institutional equity investors such as Trecap Partners, BlackRock, JP Morgan and GE Capital. Prior to that, Mr. Weilbach was a senior acquisitions officer for Metric Realty and SSR Realty Advisors, both predecessor companies to BlackRock. During his seven years with the pension fund advisory firm, he directed acquisition activity in both the Western and Eastern United States for the firm’s Multi-Housing Operating Company whose clients included CALPERS, CALSTRS, PSERS and a number of other separate account and co-mingled pension fund investors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Weilbach also worked with Wald/Nickell Realty Advisors, Langdon Rieder Corporate Real Estate Services and the Trammell Crow Company. He started his career as a consultant for Cresap/Towers Perrin Management Consultants. Mr. Weilbach received an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from The Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Behavior and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Stanford University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, where he sits on the Multifamily Bronze Council, and the National Multi-Housing Council. He has also previously served on the Editorial Advisory Boards for Apartment Finance Today and Multi-Housing Forum and is a frequent speaker at national and regional multifamily real estate events.
