Xuchao Wu

Biografía: Xuchao is a seasoned sustainability professional with extensive expertise in various sustainability domains. With over two decades of relevant experience, he has formulated and implemented sustainability solutions for different global companies. Since joining Ivanhoé Cambridge (La Cassie) in 2022, Xuchao has primarily focused on enhancing the real estate portfolio’s sustainability performance across the Asia Pacific region. His responsibilities encompass internal initiatives such as pre-investment evaluations and post-investment performance tracking and validation. Additionally, he actively engages with external partners and managers in implementation of sustainability plans and initiatives. His areas of expertise include environmental sustainability, climate risk and strategy, real asset decarbonisation, social impact, and incorporating sustainability in financial underwriting. Over the years, Xuchao has also contributed to several global strategic projects, including defining sustainability investment criteria for data centres and developing renewable energy strategies for the global real estate portfolio. Xuchao has an engineering and science background with extensive sustainability consultancy experience. Prior to Ivanhoé Cambridge, he was head of JLL’s energy & sustainability advisory teams in Greater China and South Asia. Early in his career, he was a sustainability consultant at Arup and held a research position at the National University of Singapore.
