ULI BC | Economic Mobility and Housing Resiliency: Jobs and Housing
Partnerships for Health Equity - Event #3
Resumen del seminario web: Highlighting some of the current opportunities in Indigenous procurement, and where opportunities can be expanded, this session will provide a discussion around some of the tools necessary in aligning Indigenous community design with social and urban planning practices. As our final event, we are shifting our focus towards the changes that can and should be made within the public and private sectors in supporting employment and housing opportunities for Indigenous communities, groups, organizations, and individuals. Focusing on policy pieces like Declaration of the Rights on Indigenous Peoples Act and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action, this session will highlight some pre-existing partnerships with Indigenous groups as one example of how to move forward with reconciliation.
