Biographie :
If you want to understand a city, follow the money. Look for places and spaces the city chooses to invest in. Both private capital and public funding are used for real estate development in the urban core; but the deals are not always done in the best interest of building locality. I dedicate my life’s work to doing this through both grassroots and grasstops approach. To understand the local markets, finance, and deals, I leverage my expertise as a Commercial RE Investment Broker (licensed in TN). I study the proposed intention, company, logistics, funding, and investment trajectory through brokerage. To analyze what the city’s economy is built from, and from what commerce the city thrives, I leverage my educational training in academia as a Sociologist. I employ my experience analyzing historical literature and data to re-create advanced research methods and statistics that are true measurements of the city’s pulse. Critical thinking and intentionality have allowed me to collaborate on urban planning teams to rethink spaces in the urban cities. I contributed market assessments, plan development, community engagement/implementation, and acquisition strategies to create social equity through progressive civic planning. To stay rooted in the people, I utilize my prior experience grassroots organizing in the urban core to employ the best community strategy for the proposed development or planning process. I built Inner City Investments (ICITY), an urban and economic development company to house this process. I also founded The People’s Academy for those that were invested in building neighborhoods and cities to be both purposeful and profitable. Throughout my time building ICITY I have been invited to collaborate on national platforms building economic development plans for cities. I have also been invited to speak across interdisciplinary platforms shifting the way we build our neighborhoods and economies. Répertoire des membres  Arrow
