James Francque - Biography James Francque is Head of Transactions for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. At Hyatt, James is responsible for implementing overall capital strategy on a global basis, including strategic investments, mergers and acquisitions, hotel acquisitions and dispositions and related transactional activity. James also oversees Hyatt’s residential activities, including Hyatt-branded whole ownership residences and Hyatt’s relationship with ILG, Hyatt’s exclusive licensee in the shared ownership business. James joined Hyatt in 2011 as Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel in Hyatt’s legal group. In this role James led legal support to the Corporate Transactions Group and the Asset Management Group on a global basis. Prior to joining Hyatt, James was a partner at Jones Day, where he had a broad-based and diverse real estate practice. James is involved with a number of charitable organizations, including Misericordia, which serves more than 600 disabled children and adults from diverse racial, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. James frequently speaks on topics related to real estate and hospitality issues, including most recently at the ULI Recreational Development Council (Red Flight) meeting in October 2015.
