Anna Lan

Biographie :
Anna Lan is living her best transit life as the Transit-Oriented Development manager for Capital Metro (CapMetro) in Austin, Texas. She is responsible for leading the Equitable Transit-Oriented Development program, which prepares communities through policy and public investment ahead of the multibillion-dollar Project Connect infrastructure project. With over 15 years of experience in transportation and master planning, Anna's next goal is to create the next case-study-worthy TOD that focuses on community benefits for all income levels. Anna began her career in the private sector as a consultant in transportation and environmental planning in New York City. She also spent five years on the integrated planning and architecture team with Arup in China, working on large infrastructure projects for clients like the Hong Kong MTR. Her key projects include TOD planning for 65 miles of new commuter rail with 52 stations in the Pearl River Delta and master planning a 50-square-mile panda nature reserve in partnership with The Nature Conservancy. After returning home to her native Texas, Anna transitioned to the public sector to focus on implementation at the Central Texas regional level. Anna holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s in urban planning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
