James Morgensen
Biographie : Jim is currently Vice President, Global Workplace Services at LinkedIn Corporation, the worlds largest and most powerful professional network dedicated to connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful. Jim’s team manages all real estate, facilities, physical security, food service, sustainability, transportation, sourcing, and travel services for the company’s global operations. In his tenure at LinkedIn, Jim and his team have involved in considerable real estate development, including entitling and developing space in Mountain View California and Dublin Ireland. Jim has been around the industry for the past 25+ years, with key leadership positions at Zynga Inc., Verisign, Inc., Macromedia, Inc., and Silicon Graphics, Inc. His roles generally focused on real estate, facilities, and services relating to the workplace. He and his team were instrumental in keeping up with the rapid growth and expansion of each company including the development and relocation of headquarters for each. His team has driven the strategy and execution of some of the largest transactions in San Francisco Bay Area, including a swap with Google for leased and owned buildings in Mountain View and Sunnyvale, the leasing of 222 2nd Street in San Francisco, the purchase of Zynga’s headquarters, the sale and relocation of Verisign’s headquarters to Reston Virginia, the development of Macromedia’s (now Adobe) of headquarters in the historic Baker & Hamilton building in San Francisco, and the sale of Silicon Graphics’ Mountain View campuses. Jim has a BA Economics/Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, and holds a Masters of Real Estate professional designation from CoreNet. He and his wife Marianne live in Los Altos and have two boys, David a student in Denver, and Brian who lives in Ogden Utah with his wife Kathryn and their two children.
