Gert-Joost Peek

Biographie : As Research Professor at the Rotterdam University of Applied Science, Gert-Joost is responsible for designing and carrying out a research agenda on the transition of the urban development process. Focus is on urban brownfields between city and port and explore their potential as innovation districts. Gert-Joost owns SPOT-ON Consulting in which he is active as a consultant, lecturer, chairman and author. He helps public and private actors to deal with complex urban challenges and find solutions that provide added value for all. At the Amsterdam School of Real Estate Gert-Joost is responsible for the design of all educational programmes involving urban area and real estate project development, including the MRE- and MSRE- master programmes. In the past Gert-Joost was knowledge manager at Fakton financial consultants in Rotterdam and director research at ING Real Estate Development in The Hague responsible for the company’s European Research Network and market intelligence. He has a PhD in urban area development from Delft University of Technology.
