Mark Wilsmann #229157 July 22, 2002 Mark Wilsmann is Managing Director and Head of Equity Investments for MetLife Investment Management - Real Estate. Wilsmann is responsible for leading MetLife’s $30 billion direct property investment platform, investing on behalf of the MetLife General Account as well as institutional investors including public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies. In addition to managing MetLife’s $14B portfolio, his team manages the $4 billion MetLife Core Property Fund, and more $12 billion in core/core-plus managed accounts. Prior to his current role, Wilsmann led MetLife’s commercial mortgage lending business, directing product design, pricing, and origination activities and chairing the investment committee. Under his leadership, MetLife became recognized as the top life company lender, with volume averaging more than $10 billion annually. Over his 30-year real estate career with MetLife, Wilsmann held roles in asset management, acquisitions, loan production, portfolio management, regional operations, and merger integration. He served on the board of directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the leadership of the Commercial Mortgage Board of Governors of the MBA. He is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute and an Industrial/Office council chair, is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate, and the Capital Markets Committee of the Real Estate Roundtable.
