Best Bees Company www.bestbees.com Founding Partner and Chief Scientific Officer National headquarters in Boston, MA The Best Bees Company is a beekeeping service, which includes delivery, installation, harvesting, and full management of honey bee hives and pollinator habitat (raised garden beds) for residents and businesses on rooftops, grounds, and decks. Clients keep 100% of the honey, typically for distribution to tenants, employees, and the community. Founded in 2010 out of a Boston (South End) apartment in an effort to raise funds for research to improve bee health, the Company now includes over 62 employees across nine greater metro areas (Boston, New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Portland, and Los Angeles). 2. Urban Beekeeping Laboratory and Bee Sanctuary, Inc. www.beesanctuary.org Founder and President a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity The Lab analyzes and published data collected from beehives and pollinator habitat across client sites nationwide, since 2014. These results push toward a mission to improve bee health. Donors fund research, enable student learning, and sponsor beehives and pollinator habitat in partnership with city governments, non-profit organizations, schools, libraries, and community gardens.
