Danita Childers
バイオグラフィー:Danita Childers is the Deputy Chief of the Investment Division at the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) where she leads, directs and manages the CHA’s primary non‐operating revenue sources, including federal competitive grant funds, state and local grant funds, and non-federal revenue generated by CHA assets. She is also responsible for financial and operational functions to various CHA affiliated entities. Prior to joining the CHA, Ms. Childers was a Deputy Commissioner in the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development. As Deputy Commissioner, she was responsible for coordinating commercial, residential and industrial development projects throughout the region utilizing various economic development tools including Tax Increment Financing (TIF). Before joining the city, Ms. Childers was a real estate consultant for Jones Lang LaSalle, where she provided real estate solutions for a variety of clients including colleges and universities, municipalities and corporations. Prior to that, Ms. Childers was an Asset Manager in LaSalle Investment Management responsible for a $400 million office portfolio. Ms. Childers holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from the University of Michigan. She is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker.
