Barry Humphries
バイオグラフィー:HAS SERVED ON 9 OR 10 UCI PANELS, SPONSORED TWO, AND SERVED AS CHAIRMAN ON FOUR PANELS Barry Humphries is the owner and president of Renaissance Group, Inc., a real estate development and management company located in Columbus, Ohio. Established in 1980, the company specializes in the ownership, development, and management of individual properties and provides consulting services. Renaissance Group, Inc., owns and manages award-winning retirement campuses in Ohio and actively advises a number of clients on development, management, and marketing issues. Before forming his own company, Humphries was the president of Battelle Memorial Institute's real estate subsidiary in Columbus, Ohio. He received the national Award of Excellence from President Reagan at the White House in 1982 for the Renaissance Project, a 22-block neighborhood revitalization project undertaken by Battelle. Before arriving in Columbus in 1976, Humphries was vice president and general manager of Central City Development Corporation in Beaumont, Texas. The company directed a highly successful redevelopment of the central business district that resulted in $143 million of public and private investment over a five-year period. Before entering the private sector, Humphires served as assistant city manager of Denton, Texas, and as assistant director of the East Texas Council of Governments. Humphries received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&I University and his master's degree from North Texas State University. He is a member of the Columbus Rotary Club and serves as a board member of National Church Residences, which owns and operates over 13,000 housing units for the elderly. An active member of the Urban Land Institute, Humphries has served on its board of trustees, written professional articles for "Urban Land", and service on or chaired ULI panel services for 10 U.S. cities.
