Professional Career Linda Mandolini has served Eden Housing as a Project Developer, as Director of Real Estate Development, and since 2001, as Executive Director. Eden Housing is one of California’s most successful non-profit housing development companies and has developed or acquired more than 6,500 units, throughout California and has more than 1,000 units in its immediate pipeline. Eden’s management company currently manages approximately 4,500 units. Linda oversees affordable housing production, resident support services, property management and asset management components of the organization. Eden and its affiliates employ 200 staff. Founded in 1968, Eden has a considerable track record in the development and management of affordable housing. Over the past few years, Eden has been consistently recognized by Affordable Housing Finance Magazine as one of the Top 50 Owners or Developers of Affordable Housing. Eden’s new projects are consistently recognized for their excellence – in 2010 and 2011, two developments won the Affordable Housing Readers Choice Awards and the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition Edson Awards. As a long-term owner, Eden is also a leader in property repositioning and green retrofitting. In addition to receiving many local awards for work in conservation, Eden was recognized in 2010 with the Sustainability Showcase Award for multi-family housing by the California Sustainability Alliance. Prior to moving to California in 1996, Linda held various community development positions in Boston, including Director of Real Estate Development for the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation and Director of Affordable Housing Lending for the Massachusetts Community Development Finance Corporation. Linda also served as the Director of Transportation and Land Use Development at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group in Silicon Valley.
