Tanya Mitchell
バイオグラフィー:Tanya Mitchell is the Director of Employee Relations for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. In her current capacity, she collaborates closely with Labor Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, Training & Outreach, and the Strategic HR Business Partners to work with each department's employees' concerns. Tanya's professional career has spanned over two decades, with an extensive background in operations, project & change management, human resources, supplier diversity, and an intentional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Before her current appointment, Tanya served as the Director of HR and DEI Initiatives at Davis Management Companies, LLC, which included advancing the firm's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda. Prior to Davis, Tanya held several roles at Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) as a part of the Diversity & Inclusion/Compliance team and the Federal Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification (ACDBE) Program. She worked closely with Massport’s Real Estate and Asset Management team and was instrumental in the groundbreaking Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport project. This nationally recognized endeavor, known as the "Massport Model", set new benchmarks for diversity & inclusion in public-private partnerships, with significant participation from MWBEs in the hotel's design, construction, and equity capitalization. Tanya is an alum of ULI’s Pathways to Inclusion program and the ULI/Project REAP (Real Estate Associate Program). Since joining ULI she has actively contributed to initiatives such as the Women’s Leadership Initiative, Technical Assistance Committee, and Urban Plan. Her career path also includes strategic roles at renowned companies such as Talbots Inc., The TJX Companies, and The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company. Tanya holds a BA in Economics from Tufts University, and an MBA specializing in Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, and Organizational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
