バイオグラフィー：Beau Welling is the founder and visionary of Beau Welling Design, a diverse professional team based in Greenville, SC and focused on intellectually-driven land planning and golf course design. Beau maintains an incredible passion and fervor for intellectual and creative pursuits, which can be evidenced in his diverse background. Beau earned a degree in physics from Brown University, where he also studied landscape architecture at the adjoining Rhode Island School of Design. He later attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, an experience that inspired him to earn a master’s degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina. Having begun his career as an investment banker at Interstate/Johnson Lane Corporation then the Director of International Banking at Carolina First Bank, Beau was coaxed away from the world of finance by Tom Fazio. Assisting Mr. Fazio for over a decade, Beau oversaw the design and completion of over 80 new golf courses, led the firm's overall management and growth. The desire to expand beyond golf led Beau to found BWD in 2007. Established to be a holistic firm, BWD’s team of designers, planners, engineers, and marketers look to promote connection and create memorable places, whether in urban, resort, or recreational spaces. Success has proven abundant for the firm with recent projects receiving global recognition and accolades: the mixed-use BullStreet project in Columbia, SC has commenced construction on the largest urban infill site in the United States; Bluejack National, a Tiger Woods-designed golf course and BWD master planned community outside Houston, opened in 2016 and was named “Best New Private Course” by Golf Digest and Sports Illustrated/Golf Magazine; Quinta do Lago's North Course in Portugal was named "Europe's Best New Golf Course" for 2014; the 27 Club in China was named “Top Ten Golf Course in China, #4” by Golf Magazine China; and the Arkwright Urban Golf Lea
