Report Summary:
The latest semi-annual ULI Real Estate Economic Forecast was completed on October 4, 2024, and is the result of survey of 36 leading real estate economists and analysts from 28 real estate organizations. They provide their three-year forecasts—to the end of 2024, 2025, and 2026—of 33 economic and real estate indicators. We report the median of their forecasts. Respondents to the Fall 2024 ULI Real Estate Economic Forecast upgraded their projections relative to Spring 2024 to reflect a stronger near-term economic outlook with the U.S. economy performing at or above historical averages. Real estate market projections were also more optimistic, reflecting the view that values and performance are at or near bottom, at least for most property types. Recovery is expected to take shape in 2025 and 2026. Details of all survey results, plus historic data, are in Fall 2024 Real Estate Economic Forecast (PDF), to right.
