Allan J. Klassen, is the Chief Experience Officer {CXO} for Brookfield Properties the largest real estate developer in North America focused on residential development, master planned communities mixed use development. Allan is responsible to lead a consistent approach to the customer experience across all regions through cultural transformation, best practices and a focus on key deliverables. Klassen has been engaged in the housing industry for the past 30 years and was formerly the Senior Vice President of Housing for Brookfield in Calgary Alberta Canada, and previously the President and Managing Partner of ALBI Homes Ltd., a luxury homebuilder who was acquired by Brookfield Residential Properties in 2015. Allan has spent many years giving back to the industry that he loves. In 2004, he became the President of the Calgary Region Home Builders’ Association and in 2005 the President of Calgary Home Builders Association–Alberta. As a result of the involvement in industry Allan was also recognized in 2004 by Alberta Venture magazine as one of the top 50 most influential people in Alberta and in 2010 Allan was inducted into the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Hall of Fame which recognizes individuals who have contributed and made a significant difference in the home building industry in Alberta over the years. Philanthropy and community are also a passion of Klassen’s. He founded the Gordie Howe Centre for Alzheimer’s and Research Society in 2014 {Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S} a not for profit organization whose main focus is the care giver and changing the conversation on this devastating disease. A believer in lifelong learning and education, at the ripe old age of 50 Allan enrolled in Harvard’s on campus OPM {Owner/President Management} Program, graduating after 3 years in 2013.
