Andrei Martin

传：Andrei Martin is a Partner at PLP Architecture and Co-Founder of PLP Labs, a research platform exploring the intersection of people, technology, and the planet. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster and a Life Sciences Product Council Member at the Urban Land Institute. Andrei’s work focuses on hyper-mixed smart buildings—hybrid typologies that redefine contemporary living and working. His recently completed WLA AI Lab in Shanghai is the world’s first purpose-built AI model training facility, blending office space, high-performance laboratories, and computational environments to foster collaboration in AI research. He is the editor of Another Kind: A Survey of the Possible City (Actar, 2021) and has published, lectured, and exhibited internationally. Through his work as a designer, researcher, and educator, Andrei explores how the built environment can transform human experience and reshape culture. Andrei is a Romanian-American national based in London. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
