Sheila leads San Francisco Planning’s work in the Citywide Retail Study, coordinates the Department’s response to State legislation, and supports other projects that align with San Francisco’s priorities for housing, transportation, and other public benefits. Prior work at the Planning Department included policy projects to help stabilize vulnerable communities in the Mission District and streamline the permitting of child care facilities in San Francisco. Sheila is the co-author of Housing for Families with Children, the Department’s policy and design recommendations for increasing housing options for San Francisco families. She also created and managed the Department's grants program, generating millions in revenue for planning projects for over eight years. Prior to San Francisco Planning, she consulted for philanthropic organizations at Informing Change, managed federal grants for the Exploratorium, and led bicycle tours of Italy. Sheila earned her master’s degree in public policy from Goldman School at UC Berkeley and bachelors degrees in Urban Studies and Italian Studies at Brown University. An avid bike commuter, Sheila lives in sunny Glen Park with her family and enjoys knitting and sewing vintage clothes, puttering around the garden, and lecturing her children about the importance of civic engagement. 会员名录  Arrow
