Biography:
Jeff Foster NCARB AIA LEED®AP Principal Jeff is an Architect and Principal of GGLO, a design firm based in Seattle, with additional offices in Los Angeles & Boise. He has managed the firm’s large-scale urban design and building projects for nearly two decades in collaboration with public housing authorities, non-profits, and private development partners. Jeff’s background includes four mixed-income HOPE VI redevelopments including Greenbridge (recipient of the AIA/HUD Secretary’s Award for Community Informed Design) and Seattle Housing Authority's Yesler Terrace, a 30-acre mixed-use, mixed-income Choice Neighborhoods community of up to 5000 homes, together with office and commercial buildings, retail, community services, and a system of public and private open space. He is currently working to transform several aging retail and office developments into thriving mixed-use neighborhoods. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Washington’s School of Architecture in both Seattle and Rome. He is the former Chair of his city’s Planning Commission, serves as Membership Vice-chair for ULI's Affordable/Workforce Housing Product Council, co-founded both ULI Northwest's local Affordable/Workforce Housing and its Urban Development/Mixed-Use Product Councils (which he co-chairs). He lives with his family near Seattle.
