Drew Ades

Biography: Over the past 20 years Mr. Ades has worked in multifamily housing finance, affordable housing, and capital markets. Currently, Drew Ades is Principal of Triple Line Strategies, LLC, a DC-based consulting firm helping companies and investors achieve economic, social and environmental returns.  Drew is a recognized thought leader on the intersection of real estate capital markets, sustainability and social impact. He has a proven entrepreneurial track record, successfully launching two real estate acquisition companies, as well as institutional experience, running a debt production platform responsible for acquiring over $14 billion in a single year. Prior to founding Triple Line Strategies, Drew was the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the Housing Partnership Equity Trust (HPET), a private REIT focused on the acquisition and preservation of affordable and workforce housing properties. He was responsible for the initial structuring, capital raise and launch of the Company and oversaw the growth of HPET to over 2500 units operating in five different markets. Mr. Ades previously served as Director of Multifamily Risk for Fannie Mae and Co-President of CAM LLC, a wholly owned real estate operating company subsidiary of Fannie Mae. Mr. Ades was responsible for launching and operating this new subsidiary and for assembling a portfolio of over 30 properties and generating returns in excess of a 20%. Prior to that role, Mr. Ades served as the credit officer for the Multifamily Pool channel, responsible for the acquisition, closing and special asset management of more than $25 billion in multifamily loans. In that role, he grew the platform from under $2 billion in annual acquisitions to in excess of $14 billion.
