Biography: Blank Property Group and BB Living • Sam and Matt Blank formed Blank Property Group (“BPG”) and BB Living in 2011 with the purpose of buying residential property in Arizona. BPG currently owns a portfolio of over 700 single-family houses and condominiums in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. • BPG has developed or is in the process of developing over 650 homes with its internal construction team, Higley Homes. The remaining houses and condos were purchased from banks out of foreclosure from 2011-2013. • In addition to BPG’s Arizona residential activities, its family affiliates co-own an approximate 450,000 square foot shopping center in suburban Philadelphia anchored by a Walmart, and a luxury mixed-use development in Aspen, Colorado, and a portfolio of multifamily assets in Astoria, Queens, and Brooklyn, NY. Matthew S. Blank – Managing Member • Matthew Blank is a Co-Founder of Blank Property Group (“BPG”). Prior to forming BPG in 2011, he was a Senior Equity Analyst at Long Pond Capital, LP, which is a long/short hedge fund focused on the real estate sector. At Long Pond, Mr. Blank dedicated the majority of his time on the multifamily and single-family housing market and investing in housing related ideas. • Mr. Blank also previously worked at Morgan Stanley Real Estate where he focused on investment banking, private equity, and the capital markets. At Morgan Stanley, he had transac6on experience with a range of public and private clients in the real estate industry, focusing mainly on the apartment, strip center, office, and healthcare asset classes. He advised on debt restructuring assignments involving over $6B of CMBS loans, and has executed over $650mm of equity capital market transactions • Mr. Blank graduated from the JD/MBA program at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Wharton Business School. He received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
