Michael Bohn

Biography:
January 2008 As design director Michael Bohn is responsible for both architectural and urban design within the Studio. He is a licensed architect and urban designer with over twenty years experience. He graduated cum laude from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo and was awarded the "Prix de Synthese" while attending the Ecole d'Art Americain at the Palace of Fountainebleau, France. Subsequently, he worked at the State Archaeological Camp in Hampi, India sponsored by the Smithsonian and British Institutes. Mr. Bohn's experience includes mixed use urban infill with a specialty in multi-family housing. He has over 1,500 housing units completed, under construction or "on the boards". He has lectured on subjects pertaining to housing and urbanism for ULI, Congress for the New Urbanism and National Public Radio. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, Architecture Magazine and Architectural Record He serves as an architectural and urban design advisor to Long Beach Heritage, the City of Long Beach and is a member of the Long Beach Design Forum, a group of design professionals advocating through quality design, the physical, social and economic vitality of Long Beach.
