Biography:
Ted R. Brown (As of 2/20/02) Private practice attorney in Florida from 1968 until present with an 8.5 year stint as Vice President and General Counsel for Arvida Company. Practice includes the following areas of emphasis: 1. Comprehensive planning and large-scale master-planned communities. 2. Developments of Regional Impact, Comprehensive Plan Amendments under Florida law. 3. Rezoning. 4. Strategic planning for entitlements for large scale master-planned communities. 5. Environmental permitting with emphasis on wetlands and endangered and threatened species; habitat conservation planning in the context of large-scale master-planned communities. 6. Brownfield development. 7. Leisure facilities as part of large scale master-planned communities. 8. Age-restricted, active adult communities. 9. Hotel, resort development either as a stand alone facility or as a part of a master-planned community. Have previously served on the ULI National Policy Council and most recently on the ULI Environmental Council.
