Christina Chavez
Biography: Christina Chavez is a city planner with more than 10 years of experience working in economic development, community engagement, and public space management, with a background in residential real estate sales and new development. Most recently, Christina served as the Executive Director of the FAB Fulton Business Improvement District in Brooklyn, NY. In her two years leading FAB Fulton, Christina prioritized initiatives that fostered a vibrant and inclusive community. Christina worked closely with the Board of Directors to secure vital pandemic relief resources for the organization and the 400+ businesses and property owners in the district, guided the staff through COVID-19 protocols for events and programs, and initiated new contracts for streetscape beautification. Prior to joining FAB Fulton, Christina was Assistant Director, Planning and Development, at the Long Island City Partnership, Queens, NY, where she focused on a number of community development projects and small business support programs. Christina received her M.S. City and Regional Planning at Pratt Institute and B.A. at Trinity College, Connecticut.
