Gregory Cory
Biography: Greg has been an active ULI member since 1985. He has served as the Chairman of the Recreation Development Council (Blue Flight), served for over six years on the Program Committee for the national conventions, and is a contributing author for two books on real estate development published by ULI. Greg has specialized in developmental economics throughout his career. With an undergraduate degree in economics he developed an interest in balancing the pressures of growth in the urban environment with the requirements for sound land stewardship practices. He acquired a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon, purposely choosing the school because of their pioneering efforts in state-wide land use planning. He has dealt with a broad cross section of land uses from redevelopment efforts in urban environments to rural tourism development strategies for lesser developed economies. Because of the disproportionate impact resort and recreation development can have on underdeveloped economies his work has largely been concentrated in this arena. He has accumulated nearly 45 years of experience in analyzing the demand for a broad cross section of private and public projects in over 50 international markets in depth, and has been a frequent speaker on developmental economics.
