Peter Cole
Biography: PETER J. COLE A 30-year veteran of real estate development - Principal - Madison Marquette's lead development executive of Washington DC's Wharf 3.5M SF Wharf, a transformative mixed-use waterfront development that received ULI's Global Award of Excellence. Responsible for all development activity across the platform including horizontal land, mixed use, high rise residential, office, senior living, hospitality and retail. Previously lead Fisher Brothers activity in Washington DC, including the development of award-winning Station House. Formed Wellspring Partners in 2011 to provide advisory and consulting services to institutional, family office and commercial bank investors/developers. Previously as Senior Managing Director of the Clarett Group, Mr. Cole opened the Washington DC office to identify investment and development opportunities and expand The Clarett Group's capabilities throughout the D.C. area. Here Cole led the development of a 225,000sf office development site in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining The Clarett Group, Cole served as a Senior Vice President of Development for Republic Property Trust, a prominent developer listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Cole was responsible fornew, large-scale commercial and residential development projects from inception through completion including phase I of 600,000sf Republic Square and the 505,000sf Portals III building. He also directed the $100 million redevelopment and vertical expansion of 176,000sf 1129 20th Street. From 1988 to 2002, Mr. Cole was a senior executive with international developer, Tishman Speyer, opening its Washington DC office in 2001, after holding leadership positions and working iconic projects including Rockefeller Center, Chrysler Building, and Messe Turm. Cole holds a MS in Real Estate Development from NYU.
