Biography:
LandDesign is a multi-disciplinary firm offering urban design, planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering and branding. In addition to serving as president of LandDesign, he is an award-winning designer who guides the vision and culture of the firm rooted in the principle of collaboration. Rhett works closely with clients, the community and his team, always taking unique approaches to complex sites to ensure that the best ideas are realized, resulting in beautiful and implentable designs. He leads the firm’s strategic vision that empowers LandDesign to show its clients and communities around the world that every project matters. As a nationally recognized leader in master planned communities and mixed use development, Rhett focuses on providing each project with the ideas and design leadership that will differentiate it in a competitive market and position it for the greatest economic return. Through his experience on complex projects, Rhett can adeptly orchestrate large teams of experts focused on achieving a unified vision. This collaborative approach has enabled him to lead major projects across the United States and globally. Rhett has worked on a number of notable projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth region including master plans for Castle Hills, a major mixed use community in Lewisville, Texas and the community of Viridian in Arlington, Texas. In addition, Rhett has led design and master planning for the San Juan Puerto Rico Waterfront; Puerto Cancun Community Plan in Mexico; University Research Park in Charlotte; and Romare Beardon Park in Uptown Charlotte. Rhett has won a number of awards for his projects including Southborough, a mixed use urban infill development in Charlotte that innovatively blended a large home improvement retail center into a historic neighborhood; and Blakeney Town Center, a master planned 300-acre mixed use development that has been awarded the American Society of Landscape Architects NC Chapter – 2007 Award of Merit Member Directory  Arrow
