Tyler Congleton

Biography: As Managing Partner of Blackberry Development Company and its related brokerage since 2010, Mr. Congleton has principal responsibility for overseeing the firm’s operations and sales. BDC plans, develops and sells property in partnership with Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, the acclaimed boutique resorts in Tennessee. Mr. Congleton served a leading role in creating Blackberry Mountain, a 5,200-acre sister resort to nearby Blackberry Farm that opened in early 2019. Under his leadership, Blackberry Mountain achieved lot sell-through several years ahead of plan with lot pricing 42% above budget, including over $90 million in the first 12 months in 2017-8, with no completed on-site amenities in place. Prior to joining BDC, Mr. Congleton was a Vice President at DPS Development, where he had management roles in resort community and club development projects including The Greenbrier Sporting Club in White Sulphur Springs, WV, among others. Prior to DPS, Mr. Congleton was with Prudential Capital Group, where he worked in teams that directly originated over $1 billion in private placements and commercial mortgages.
